    I've smoked cigars for over 30 years. For more than two decades of that, I've been a member at Devlin's Cigar Lounge, one of Australia's most respected establishments, founded by Simon Devlin. In that time, I've spent countless hours enjoying exceptional cigars in exceptional company. And for just as long, I've dealt with the same problem every serious smoker knows: the smoke that stays in your clothing long after the moment has passed.

    I tried everything available. Fabric sprays, deodorisers, airing techniques. The best any of them could do was mask the odour temporarily,  layering something on top of the problem rather than solving it. I wanted something better.

    So I went looking for a real solution. What I found was that the science existed, enzymatic formulations capable of breaking down smoke compounds at a molecular level, but nothing had been designed specifically for the cigar smoker who cares about their clothing. Savile Noir is the product I built to fill that gap.

why savile noir?

If you've spent serious time in a cigar lounge, you already know the problem. The experience ends, but the smoke in your jacket doesn't. Traditional sprays mask the odour with fragrance, which means you walk out smelling like smoke covered by something else.

Savile Noir was created by a cigar enthusiast of 30 years, developed in partnership with Simon Devlin of Devlin's Cigar Lounge, and formulated specifically for people who take both their cigars and their clothing seriously.

It works at an enzymatic level,  breaking down the smoke compounds themselves rather than masking them. The result is a garment that's genuinely restored, not just covered.

For those who move between the lounge and the boardroom, the dinner table, or simply want to preserve the integrity of what they wear, Savile Noir is the solution that should have existed years ago.

The ritual

  • It uses a multi-layered approach:

    • Enzymes break down smoke compounds (tar, nicotine residues) 

    • Zinc-based technology binds and neutralises odour molecules 

    • Advanced odour neutralisers eliminate malodours rather than masking them

    1. Lightly mist the garment from a distance of approximately 15-20cm.

    2. Focus on areas most exposed to smoke, such as collars, sleeves, and outer layers.

    3. Apply 15-20 light sprays from a distance ensuring even coverage without over-saturating.

    4. Allow the garment to air for 2-5 minutes as the formula neutralises odours.

    5. For heavier exposure, reapply lightly as needed.

    6. Suitable for use on most fabrics, including wool, cotton, and synthetics (spot test recommended on delicate materials).

    7. Do not apply directly to skin or wear the garment until dry.

    8. Designed for longevity, each bottle provides over 400 sprays.

    9. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
